NICNAS Reforms: release of draft delegated legislation
Senator Bridget McKenzie has been appointed as the Minister for Rural Health, Minister for Sport and Minister for Regional Communications. Senator McKenzie also has responsibility for NICNAS and the NICNAS reforms.
We expect to be able to provide further advice later in February about the next steps in the implementation of the NICNAS Reforms, including the timing of the release of the draft rules (delegated legislation) and associated guidelines for public consultation.
The draft delegated legislation will be published on the NICNAS website and sent to all registered introducers and Stakeholder Update newsletter subscribers.
The public consultation period on the delegated legislation will run for at least 6 weeks.
As part of this consultation period, small sector-specific workshops will be held in Sydney at the NICNAS office during the consultation period. We will provide further details in the Stakeholder Update newsletter and on the NICNAS website.
