Also completed were:
· screening of two chemicals (N,N-Dimethylformamide and Xylene) from the existing chemicals candidate list
· submissions to the National Drugs and Poisons Scheduling Committee (NDPSC) covering two chemicals and a classification issue, and
· assessments of new hazard data relating to three chemicals previously assessed as new chemicals.
Assessment activities for the year are summarised
in Table 10, with comparative figures over three years. A list of all
assessments completed in 2006-07 is provided in Table 11. These data are also provided in Appendix 06.

A target of three full assessments and ten other assessments
was set for 2006-07. Achieved, this target (set as a performance indicator in DoHA PBS 2004-05) would maintain an output of 50 chemicals
assessed over three years. We exceeded this year’s target for full assessments
by five times and other assessments by four. Outputs over five years are shown
at Figure 11.
