| The Hon Christopher Pyne MP Dear Parliamentary Secretary I have pleasure in submitting to you for presentation to the Parliament, the Annual Report of the Operation of the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989 (the Act), for the year ending 30 June 2006. The Annual Report has been prepared in accordance with Section 108 of the Act. The Annual Report details the performance of the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) against outcome and output measures as detailed in the Portfolio Budget Statements for the period 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006. A summary of financial information for NICNAS is included in this report. Audited financial statements for NICNAS can be found in the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing Annual Report 2005-06, reflecting administrative arrangements for 2005-06.
