General information

Ingredients in cosmetics are regulated by NICNAS and/or the TGA. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission  regulates the labelling of cosmetic products under the Trade Practices (Consumer Product Information Standard) (Cosmetics) Amendment Regulations 1998. 

You may also need to comply with other regulatory schemes and agencies

States and Territories legislation may apply; for example, the control of supply, sale, use and transport operate through State legislation. Occupational health and safety model regulations and codes (National Occupational Health and Safety Commission) and environmental legislation may also apply.
