General Reform Programs

Consistent with the NICNAS's commitment to continuous improvement, NICNAS's Industry Government Consultative Committee (IGCC) has agreed to a program of reforms.

 

Some of these activities include:

• Implementation of the low regulatory concern chemicals reform initiative;

• Amendments to company registration to improve compliance;
  development of electronic templates;

• Recognition of Foreign Schemes including the Australia-Canada Bilateral Arrangement;

• Aligning notifiction and assessment reports for international harmonisation through the OECD New Chemicals Task Force; and

• Review of NICNAS's program areas such as existing chemicals.
