What is the difference between industrial chemicals and relevant industrial chemicals? The term 'industrial chemical' includes all chemicals which are regulated by NICNAS, while 'relevant industrial chemicals' are a subset of industrial chemicals and the term only applies to NICNAS Registration. If you import and/or manufacture relevant industrial chemicals, you will need to register with us. Only relevant industrial chemicals are considered when determining whether NICNAS Registration applies to you. The value of these chemicals must be estimated in order to determine which tier you should register at. Relevant industrial chemicals include all industrial chemicals except:
