Cosmetics FAQs
What is the Cosmetics Standard? The Cosmetics Standard 2007 describes the requirements
for six cosmetic product categories and came into force on 17th
September, 2007. Cosmetic products that fall within these six product
categories must comply with the general requirements that apply to all
cosmetics as well as the product-specific requirements detailed in the
Cosmetics Standard 2007. The product categories are:
*Anti-acne skin products and antidandruff products are regulated as cosmetics provided that they control acne or dandruff through cleansing, moisturising or exfoliating.
