Annual Reporting FAQs
Where has the annual reporting requiecome from? Why do I need to do this now?
These amendments introduced a range of exemptions that allows introducers of industrial chemicals to import or manufacture certain new industrial chemicals without notification. In addition, these amendments also introduced audited self-assessment for low concern chemicals, and administrative renewal of Commercial Evaluation Chemical and Low Volume Chemical permits. To ensure the ongoing health, safety and environmental protection for chemicals under these exemptions, the requirements for introducers to report these new chemicals and their quantity every 12 months for the previous registration year (1 September – 31 August) was introduced. These annual reports are required by 28 September every year. |
