Chemicals Removed from the Candidate List of Chemicals (as of Jan 08)
Methylene chloride, sodium hydroxide and phthalates (as a chemical group) were removed from the Candidate List as of January 2008. Some specific phthalates were subject to health hazard assessments and also declared as Priority Existing Chemicals in March 2006. Information sheets have been published for methylene chloride and sodium hydroxide.
